Dear Dr. Elithorn:

	Thanks for your January 18 letter.  Provisionally, I would
enjoy taking part in your symposium as a discussant, and if wanted,
I would prepare written comments on a paper.  I don't have a suitable
paper of my own in the works.  I am somewhat dubious about
whether the methods of present and presently proposed expert systems,
and therefore I would prefer to comment on such a paper, hoping, of
course, to be pleasantly surprised.
